The Mini 1275GT

Where it all began

The Start
Born in June 1976, one of the last MK3's
Bought the car November 1994 in a reasonable state but had a lot of tin worm around the front of the car.
The engine was shot and the breaks non existence

Used it for a few months, using about a litre of oil a week !!! Time to rebuild, one thing led onto another

I have now completed the new body work but need to "finish it"

July 2004 Its now on the road, passed the MOT, insured, taxed. Its great to driving again after this time. Its uncomfortable, noisy, BUT WHAT FUN. Its pretty quick but needs a rolling tune next then a full respray.

November 2004 Mini is now in a large garage ready for painting etc

April 2005 New house lots of jobs, Mini still in the garage.

Feb 2009 Time to finish it. Big push this year....... Never happened

Finally December 2016
He has been all stripped out and off to paint
Had all his tin worm removed and new metal welded in
Professionally sprayed in 2 pack Vermillion his original colour
Three weeks later he is back looking fab
Now the rebuild with new or reconditioned parts
Returning him to his original condition as he would have left the factory
Finally back on the road, passed the MOT with nothing wrong
Reached my main goal to go on the London to Brighton Run 2018 <<< Achieved
Jobs left to do
